How to use it

Brung is formed by analogy with sing and sung, or ring and rung, which is a sensible guess that English happens not to reward here. The standard past tense and participle of bring is brought, for both: I brought it, I have brought it. Brung is well established in several regional dialects and is used deliberately for effect in songs and speech. Outside that, brought is what a reader expects. Bringed is the other form a regular pattern would produce, and it is no more standard than brung, though it draws less affection.
