In our word list

No

The finder will not return it, because the list we search does not contain it.

That is a split verdict, and it is the honest one. This is one of the additions the official lists have made since ENABLE stopped being updated. The game accepts it. Our search does not know about it.

Why players ask

QI is the circulating life force in Chinese philosophy, and it is the single most useful two-letter word in the game: it puts a ten-point Q on the board without needing a U anywhere near it. It joined the North American tournament list in 2006, recently enough that players who learned the game earlier still challenge it and lose a turn doing so. Hooked onto an existing word or laid across a double-letter square under the Q, it routinely turns a dead rack into thirty points. If you take one word from this entire cluster, take this one.

Every short word in one place

The two-letter reference lists the short plays with a gloss and a tile score for each, and the Scrabble hub collects the rest: the Q, Z, X and J lists, the letter values, and the rules.
