Why players ask
RI is not playable. It looks like it ought to be, sitting between the perfectly valid RE and the perfectly valid TI, but it has never been on the lists. If you are holding an R and an I with nowhere to go, RE and ER are the plays that exist, and both use tiles you are likely to be holding anyway.
